Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and empathetic Mental Health Therapist to join our team as a 1099 independent contractor. The ideal candidate will have EMDR training (minimum: EMDRIA-approved basic training; certification preferred) and a passion for working with individuals who have experienced trauma, depression, crisis intervention, anxiety, and working with neuro divergent populations.
Responsibilities:
Provide individual therapy sessions (in-person in Joliet IL and/or telehealth)
Utilize EMDR therapy as a primary or integrated intervention.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Responsibility to maintain your own schedule.
Collaborate with colleagues for consultation, case discussion, and professional support.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
You will be responsible for your psychology today and self-advertising in addition to the practice referrals
Qualifications:
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
Active independent license (LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, PsyD, PhD, or equivalent) in IL.
EMDRIA-approved EMDR training completed (certification preferred).
Minimum of 2 years post-licensure clinical experience preferred.
Strong clinical skills in trauma treatment, emotional regulation, and client engagement.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
