    About Us

Dragonflies are all about transformation and change and that is the mission here at Lilac Dragonfly Therapy. To provide services to all individuals seeking support and guidance on their journey.

Lilac Dragonfly Therapy is currently online in the states of Illinois and Michigan. Lilac Dragonfly Therapy is looking to expand in person in Joliet, IL.

The mission of Lilac Dragonfly Therapy is to create a safe and welcoming space for you as a client and for the community as a resource to:

    Learn awareness

    Imagine change

    Love yourself

    Ask for help

    Create meaning

The founder of Lilac Dragonfly Therapy, Julia Dombrow, is certified in EMDR, 40 hour domestic violence trained, is a certified QPR instructor.

Julia works directly with those whom have experienced an event in your life that changes you, it may not seem like a traumatic event in the moment, but high stress events that have long lasting effects on the mind and body can be considered traumatic. Julia also understands what it is like to be directly impacted by suicide and wants to provide services and trainings for individuals impacted by that kind of sudden loss

QPR suicide prevention trainings for the community

If you are interested in a training for your staff, friends, or family. Please reach out. We offer these trainings at minimal cost in order to allow more people to have the skills and information that might save a life.

As much as us therapists wish we were the first call when someone is struggling, that is not usually the case. It could be you who a loved one or a coworker passively says “Do you want my things? because I won’t be here tomorrow.” or “do you ever just want to go to sleep and not wake up?” Please take each and every word someone says seriously about ending their life. It is okay to ask if someone is having thoughts of hurting themself and know if someone says they are suicidal, it’s scary for everyone to hear, but just listen to them and get them to someone who can help!
